Modern design for an innovative future

From February 2025, TR Trans Rail will be visible in all areas of the company with a new look. The clear, minimalist design stands for a modern corporate image. The simple, modern font reinforces the legibility and clarity of the brand name. In addition, a new organizational structure came into force on 1 January 2025.

Simon Stäbler becomes new Head of Transport and Planning

From April 1, 2024, Simon Stäbler will become the new Head of Transport and Planning at TR Trans Rail AG and will thus join the Executive Board. The previous incumbent Daniel Wägeli is leaving the Executive Board and will focus more on expanding passenger transport in his position as Managing Director of Rail Event AG.

New managing director for TR Trans Rail AG and BauRail AG

Daniel de Jong will take over the management of TR Trans Rail AG and BauRail AG on January 1, 2023. The Head of Future Issues at Verkehrsbetriebe Zürich (VBZ) will join TR Trans Rail AG and BauRail AG as Managing Director on January 1, 2023. Daniel de Jong succeeds André Pellet, who will focus on his Board of Directors mandates and the company ZRT Bahnreisen in future.

Successful FAM trip on the subject of "Trains, ships, cars"

Together with SBB Charter and other partners, Rail Event and ZRT Bahnreisen organized a FAM trip on the theme of "Trains, Ships, Cars" for invited guests. The event, which aimed to present the Prestige Continental Express, the Suisse Train Bleu and the Gotthard Panorama Express, was a complete success.

Prestige Continental Express is given a new lease of life

The Prestige Continental Express was created out of a love for genuine beauty and elegance. The vehicles were used as dining cars and were completely rebuilt from 1999 and modeled on the style of the legendary "Orient Express" saloon cars. After years of service, technical overhauls were due in 2020. A consortium has set itself the goal of bringing the Prestige Continental Express back into service and is looking forward to being able to offer journeys in a stylish ambience again from mid-February 2022.

Review of the 2021 sugar beet campaign

During the harvest period, some of the sugar beet is loaded onto rail to relieve the pressure on the roads. As the national logistics partner of Schweizer Zucker AG, TR Trans Rail AG has transported around 555,000 tons of beet to the sugar factories in Aarberg and Frauenfeld in the past three months using over 500 trains.

Preserving a piece of railroad history

Thanks to sponsorship, the Re 421 393 TEE makes a dazzling appearance

The Re 421 393 locomotive with its elegant TEE livery is being sponsored by the TEE-Classics association, which is committed to the preservation and operation of the TEE heritage. Sugar beet campaign 2020

Sugar beet is harvested between mid-September and the end of December. To relieve the pressure on the roads, some of the beet is loaded onto rail. As the logistics partner of Schweizer Zucker AG, TR Trans Rail AG has transported 303,715 tons of beet to the sugar factory in Frauenfeld in the past three months using over 200 trains.

Transfer of the "Blue Train" from Berlin to Oensingen

On July 7, 2020, TR Trans Rail AG transported the well-known long-distance express train carriages from the 1960s and 1970s of the "Blue Train" with the newly overhauled locomotive Re 421 387 from Neustrelitz (near Berlin) to Switzerland. At the same time, the travel company ZRT Bahnreisen from Brig took the opportunity to offer an unusual and exclusive special train journey for a long weekend in Berlin.

The Re 4/4 II locomotive, built in 1984, has been freshly overhauled at the SBB factory in Bellinzona in recent weeks and was transferred to German-speaking Switzerland on Friday, 12 June 2020 with a new Rheingold livery in beige and cobalt blue. In addition to the approval for Switzerland, the locomotive also has approvals and equipment for journeys in Germany and Austria.
