Prestige Continental Express is given a new lease of life

The three companies Prestige Continental Express SA, Rail Event AG and ZRT Bahnreisen AG have taken on the project of maintaining the carriage technology as a consortium. Until spring 2022, the "Le Salon Bleu" and "Le Rubis Noir" dining and lounge carriages, each with 48 seats at tables for 2 and 4, as well as the "Le Diamant" piano bar, with a bar area and a dining compartment with 24 seats at tables for 2 and 4, will be available for special events on rails.

In its heyday of the "Golden Twenties", the Orient Express was the epitome of stylish travel in a luxurious atmosphere. Thanks to the first-class connections of the "Orient-Express" of the time, its guests discovered romantic cities, the Côte d'Azur, the most beautiful Alpine panoramas or the Orient. The sumptuous interiors of the noble carriages were the work of internationally renowned artists and craftsmen. The companies Prestige Continental Express SA and Rail Event AG can look back on many years of experience in rail charter transportation. ZRT Bahnreisen AG, a recognized tour operator, specializes in rail travel in Switzerland and abroad. Together they will operate the three dining cars and hire them out for events and charter services.
