The Re 421 393 locomotive with its elegant TEE livery is being sponsored by the TEE-Classics association, which is committed to the preservation and operation of the TEE heritage. To this end, an agreement has been concluded between the association and the companies International Rolling Stock Investment GmbH (IRSI) and TR Trans Rail AG.

The core object of the sponsorship is the care, maintenance and use of the Re 421 393 with TEE livery. Thanks to this long-term partnership, the locomotive is to be put to better use, particularly in tourist passenger transport.

The non-profit organization TEE-Classics, founded in 1994, takes over the careful, regular visual maintenance of the Re 421 393 and ensures that it leaves a lasting, glamorous external impression. In return, IRSI makes the locomotive available to the association for use on tourist rail services.

The TEE-Classics association therefore continues to operate under the railroad transport company TR Trans Rail AG with its own and rented vehicles in the area of tourist rail transport. This sponsorship is underlined externally by the TEE-Classics logo, which has been affixed to both sides of the Re 421 393.

IRSI GmbH, TR Trans Rail AG and TEE-Classics in brief
IRSI GmbH is the owner of the locomotive Re 421 393, which is registered on the Swiss standard-gauge network as well as in Germany and Austria. TR Trans Rail AG operates the locomotive as a rail transport company. Since 2008, TEE-Classics has been operating another historic TEE locomotive in tourist rail traffic, the Re 4/4 I 10034 TEE, as well as an extensive TEE archive.
