What you can expect

  • In this key role at our subsidiary LokPool AG, you will manage the operational maintenance of our rail vehicles, ensure their technical readiness for service, and oversee the return to service of locomotives. At the same time, you will help build internal expertise and optimize our maintenance planning.
  • You plan and coordinate shop visits to ensure that the fleet remains reliable and operational, and use your expertise to assist with troubleshooting and repairs.
  • You evaluate external service providers, define work packages, and award contracts to ensure that everything runs smoothly.
  • You will inspect the work performed, authorize the system to be put back into service, and manage the documentation.
  • You are responsible for taking equipment out of service in the event of safety-related defects.
  • You ensure the availability of key components and monitor their condition and inventory levels.
  • You keep internal departments (ECM 1 / ECM 2) as well as external partners such as repair shops and utility companies informed and ensure a transparent flow of information.

What you bring with you

  • You have technical training (e.g., as an agricultural or construction equipment mechanic) with additional administrative training, or a degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • You are familiar with Regulation (EU) 2019/779 or are eager to learn new things.
  • You have a good understanding of vehicle-specific components, enjoy getting your hands dirty, and can keep track of complex processes.
  • You have experience in operational planning and scheduling between engineering and operations.
  • You enjoy taking on responsibility, proactively optimizing processes, and confidently using IT tools for documentation and planning.
